Enclosure, John Green to Lord Dartmouth, 7 May 1776, New Providence, has pointed out in previous letters certain actions of the Governor and sundry officers, "thereby continuing the infamous character all nations round have justly entertained of New Providence from bad rulers", states other circumstances which are misrepresented in dispatches sent home, and which show the Governor and Council to be in league with the rebels
