Enclosure, 31 May 1777, College of Advocates, Doctors Commons, James Marriott, Memorial to the King, setting forth the King's right to condemn the ships and goods of his enemies, taken by His Majesty's own ships of war, complains that this right has been violated and an attempt is now being made to violate it in the case of the commanders of the "Squirrel" and "Maidstone", captors of the ship "Nightingale" in an appeal from the sentence of the Vice Admiralty Court in the plantations
