DescriptionNew York Harbour, off Staten Island, arrival off Staten Island, ships they fell in with near Newfoundland and Halifax, capture of four English transports conveying troops with Colonel Campbell their Commander, good health of the Army, their ardour to attack the enemy, efforts of the "Phoenix", and "Rose" men-of-war to force a passage up Hudson's River, and to keep it open for Burgoyne's troops,Lord Howe's arrival, Mr William Temple at Congress, with letters from home concealed in his clothes, escape of the noted Major Rogers from Philadelphia, Lieutenant Sneyd a prisoner in Connecticut, imprisonment of Mr Stanley's son, his escape, and recapture, Mr Percy continues a very violent agitator
