DescriptionWhitehall, announces the arrival of Major-General Burgoyne on 27 Dec, approves reasons given for not removing from Boston, will write more fully about Howe's plan of operation for the ensuing campaign, discusses the means suggested to increase the force to what is necessary for that plan, explains arrangements being made for that purpose and for supplying articles required, steps are being taken to relieve Quebec, hopes to send Carleton 10000 men early in March, merchandise in Boston to be put in store if it will not create any hazard in evacuating that town, names vacancies to which he may post officers, and commissions he is authorised to grant
